What is Online Candidate WordPress?

Our Custom WordPress Design Service is designed for political campaigns and organizations that want a full custom website design and setup solution. Using the powerful Divi Theme, we create a unique, professional design for your website. We also set up your initial website content (up to 15 pages). We’ll arrange your site text and images for a pleasing design and optimize your content for search engines. After that, it’s all in your control.

What does each website include?

We include following default pages with your package. You can also create additional pages and create posts in the blog section of your website. Each package includes 1G disk space.

Do you work with Democrats or Republicans exclusively?

We work with Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Green Party, etc. We don’t run a partisan service. Small and large campaigns are welcome!

How does the ordering process work?

Contact us to discuss your needs, and we can help get you the package and options that best fit your needs.

Are there any hidden fees or recurring costs?

Everything is up-front and the prices are inclusive. You may renew your annual hosting and domain name after the first year. Annual hosting renewal is $240/year.

Can I use my own domain name?

If your domain name is already registered: Online Candidate websites reside on our dedicated servers. After you order, you will be provide information where and how to ‘point’ your domain name to our servers.

If your domain name is not already registered: You can register your own domain when you set up your website. We include a one year free .com domain with each package. Specialty domain extensions such as .republican, .democrat and .voting are also available.

WordPress plugins

We set up your website plugins for functionality, such as your forms, caching for speed, and security.

ADDITIONAL PLUGINS: We are not responsible for additional plugins that you may install in your website. WE DO NOT SUPPORT OUTSIDE PLUGINS. Be careful when adding plugins as they may create a security risk. We reserve the right to disable plugins that present a security risk to your website or our web servers.

How is email handled?

Most campaigns work well with email forwards, meaning an email sent to contact@yoursite.com will be forwarded to one or more different email accounts. POP email accounts are also available. You can create your own email accounts through the Client Portal.

NO SPAMMING: Sending bulk email is NOT allowed through the websites or email accounts. This is for your email account safety and ours. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that engage in bulk email abuse.

If you are running a larger campaign with greater email needs (autoresponders, HTML messages, tracking), we recommend using a professional email marketing service like Aweber or MailChimp.

What online fundraising options are available?

You can link to outside sites or embed content or widgets from any fundraising or donation service you choose. Our clients use a number of different services. Here is a list of fundraising services many of our clients use.

Can I get my logo design to use in my print material?

Yes! If we have created a custom logo for your website, we can send you high-res files for use in your campaign print materials.

How soon will my website appear on Google or other search engines?

Our websites are designed to be indexed easily by search engines. We’ve seen new websites appear on Google in as little as a few days, but it can sometimes take longer.

You can accelerate this process by linking to your site from different sources, such as your Facebook, Twitter or online resume profiles.
